Home Remedies For Dry Hair
Go Back

Whenever there is a problem with our body there always seems to be a wives tale to promote the remedy. In some cases, they truly are great remedies then in other cases, they can be downright detrimental or even dangerous. Therefore, the moral here is tread carefully with home remedies. When it comes to the hair and some great hair care tips, there are some very tried and trued treatments. Again, though bare in mind any home care remedy you attempt is strictly at your own risk and your own choosing.

No doubt, many of the home remedies can enhance your hair. Hair care tips are certainly not the answer to all our hair problems or most of the major hair care manufacturers would have been out of business years ago. We all know that certainly is not the case.

In the meantime, here are a few of the home remedies for dry hair that have cropped up over the years, which you may find interesting.

Most everyone has heard of the vinegar rinse. I have to say I have tried this and it really does remove any soap residue and leaves your hair shining. Word of warning thought after the vinegar rinse you may want to re rinse your hair a few times with clear water otherwise you will smell like a French fry! Also make sure the vinegar is well diluted with water and don’t get it in your eyes.

Another perhaps not so common home remedy is the use of Epsom salts. Apparently, it is reported to work like a hot oil treatment. The salts are added to your regular hair conditioner but no more than three tablespoons of the salt. Then heat this mixture up until it is comfortably warm. Then prepare to give yourself a warm relaxing massage with this concoction. Afterwards sit and relax for about 20 minutes then rinse really well.

Then there are home remedy hair care treatments that consist of olive oils, or miracle whip or egg whites. All promoted as acting like a deep hair conditioner. I personally would prefer to purchase a good hair conditioner that is formulated correctly and doesn’t leave any residue in the hair. I don’t want to be having to rinse my have ½ dozen times to remove the oils.

It has been reported that a simple can of beer used, as a rinse will do wonders for dry hair. So the question is does it or doesn’t it? Only those who have tried it really know.Reading haircare tips is an excellant way to discover different ways of treating not only dry hair, but any type of problem hair.

Again as we said some home remedies may not work but there is no harm in trying. In other cases, there can be lots of harm in trying. The best solution is to avoid any type of damage to your hair and strive to keep it in healthy condition then you won’t need to have to even contemplate home hair care remedies.
